Warm-up ahead of SEA Games

JAKARTA - As part of preparation for the SEA Games XXVI 2011, PB PELTI with Garuda Indonesia Garuda Indonesia will host the tournament Soft Tennis Championship 2011 in the field Sultan Hotel, Jakarta.

This tournament will be held on 16 to 18 September 2011 and will be followed by four Asian countries namely Japan, South Korea, Chinese Taipei, and Indonesia. The participants are a country that has a world ranking in Soft Tennis branch.

"This is not the first time Soft Tennis tournament held in Indonesia, because it had once held Soft Tennis tournament, namely in Senayan," said Gunarso which is a men's team coach at a press conference at a hotel in Jakarta, Thursday (15 / 9 / 2011).

Because this event is part of the preparation of Soft Tennis Team Indonesia in the SEA Games event XXVI, it will be passed down the main team. At the SEA Games, the Indonesian team was already having a high vigilance against one of the country's strongest competitor in the arena of Soft Tennis.

"For the SEA Games level, Indonesia level above other countries, but we are wary of the Philippines, even so we are optimistic the target can be achieved gold medal," added Gunarso.

Soft Tennis Indonesia national team turned out to have attended a few tournaments in Laos, China, and Poland. Trials are expected this time can describe the strength of Soft Tennis Indonesia national team.

Soft Tennis Tournament Championship Garuda Indonesia is using a format of two games, the teams and individuals. Team match consists of five players who ak n double down on two single dansatu. After the match will be contested team also consists of individual men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.
